The Mollusk ® Portable Picturebox was my take on the television set. An illustrated belt was rolled through this little machine, by the crank, displaying a short, repeating story. The "Portable Picturebox" was roughly two feet high, one foot deep and one foot wide. It had three separate reels with a different story on each. Various music boxes were used for accompaniment, amplified by a megaphone. The "Mollusk" Picturebox has been destroyed. A full size Picturebox was constructed in 2006. |
